Open Response

Insert an open response question with one or more possible correct answers.

  1. In the Editor, click Insert… to access the drop-down menu. Under the Question heading select Open Response.
  2. The Edit Question dialog appears.
  3. On the Question tab, type the question in the Question box, and enter the valid answers in the indicated text boxes.
  4. Click on the Feedback tab to select desired feedback options.
  5. Click the green OK button at the bottom right of the dialog to save your changes.

Icons (FontAwesome)

Insert scalable vector icons; select from 808 icons provided by FontAwesome.

  1. In the Editor, click Insert… to access the drop-down menu. Under the Content heading select Icon.
  2. The Edit Icon dialog appears.
  3. Click on the icon you would like to insert. If desired, you may select a variable size from the Icon Size drop-down menu.
  4. Click the green OK button at the bottom right of the dialog to save your changes.

Insert Special Character

Insert a variety of special characters.

  1. In the Editor, click Insert… to access the drop-down menu. Under the Other heading select Special Character.
  2. The Select Special Character dialog appears.
  3. Click on the special character you would like to insert; the special character is inserted automatically and the dialog disappears. Only one special character at a time may be inserted.

Slide Sorter

Easily change the order of your slides.

  1. In the Editor, hover the mouse over one of the thumbnails to the left of the screen.
  2. Two arrows will appear in the bottom right corner of the thumbnail. Click either arrow to change the position of the slide within the presentation.

Duplicate Slide

Duplicate a slide with the click of a button.

  1. In the Editor, select the slide you wish to duplicate.
  2. On the editor toolbar, click the Duplicate slide icon Duplicate Slide icon.
  3. The Duplicate Slide confirmation dialog will appear. Click the green Duplicate button to confirm your choice. The duplicate slide will appear immediately after the original slide and may be edited according to your needs.

Copy & Paste for Widgets

Copy and paste widgets using a menu that appears on right click.

  1. In the Editor, select the widget (e.g. question, accordion, image, tabs) that you would like to copy.
  2. Right click, and a menu will appear. Choose Copy.
  3. Position the cursor where you would like the copied image to appear. Right click, and select Paste from the menu.

Slide Settings: “Show this slide in the navigation menu”

Optional inclusion of the slide in the navigation menu.

  1. In the Editor, click the Slide Settings icon Slide Settings icon from the editor toolbar.
  2. The Slide Settings dialog will appear. Click on the Navigation tab.
  3. If you want the slide to appear in the Navigation menu, select “Show the slide in the navigation menu”. (Alternatively, if you do not want the slide to appear in the Navigation menu, deselect “Show the slide in the navigation menu”.)
  4. Click the green OK button at the bottom of the dialog to save your changes.

Export Project for CMI-5

Export a project with a CMI-5 conformant wrapper.

  1. In the Editor, click the Project Settings icon Project Settings icon on the toolbar.
  2. In the Project Settings dialog, click the Export tab.
  3. Select the Include LMS support files when exporting option.
  4. In the Use the following API standard dropdown, select CMI-5.

  5. Click OK to save your changes and dismiss the dialog.

New Themes

Try the new cosmoflatlyspacelab, and united themes.

  1. In the Editor, click the Project Settings icon Project Settings icon on the toolbar.
  2. The Project Settings dialog appears. Select the Theme tab.
  3. Use the Theme drop down menu to select the desired theme.
  4. Once you have made your modifications, click the green OK button at the bottom of the dialog box. Any changes that you've made become effective immediately on your project.


Custom CSS Styles

Add your own CSS styles to a project.

  1. In the Editor, click the Edit Source icon from the editor toolbar.
  2. The Edit Source dialog appears.
  3. Add your custom CSS code:


  4. Click OK to save your changes and apply the new styles.


Print Results

Print learner results and allow learners to print their own results.

  • With the new Print Results button in the Results widget, you can view and print a report of learner results:

    Drag-and-Drop Ordering Interaction

    Try the new drag-and-drop ordering question.

    1. Select Insert > Drag/Drop Ordering from the toolbar.


    2. Enter Question text, then enter the answers in the correct order, as in this example:


    3. Click OK to save your changes.

    When you view the question in the player, the responses are scrambled; simply drag them into the correct order and click Submit:



    Download Notes Report as Word Document

    Download notes report as either a PDF or Word document.

    1. On the Projects page, click More... on the project you wish to print.


    2. On the Edit Projects page, click Notes.


    3. On the Project Notes page, select Download as > Word.




    Randomize Multiple-Choice Responses

  • When creating a multiple-choice question, a new option under the Feedback tab lets you choose to randomize the order in which responses appear:



  • Tab Interaction: Set Tabs to Equal Width

  • In tabs interactions, the new Justify tabs button lets you set tabs to equal width.

  • When you select this option, the tabs will be set to equal width, spread across the entire width of the widget:






  • Share Project by Email

    We’ve made project sharing easier by adding an Email link option.

    1. After sharing a project, click Email link.

    2. Enter the email address and name of the person you want to share with (and an optional message), and click Send.

    Open Document Button Action

    When creating a button, you can now assign an open document action to it.

    You can upload a file to be opened with the button, and when you export your project, the file will be included.
